Antoinette "Chickie" Marchetti Liss, 83, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at her home in Woodridge.
Graveside memorial services for Chickie will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Spring Valley. Rev. Scott Potthoff will officiate. Cremation has been accorded. The Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley is honored to be assisting her family at this time.
She was born on March 28, 1940 in Spring Valley to Tony and Minnie (Baracani) Marchetti. She married Ronald V. Liss, her husband of 63 years on December 3, 1958. Ron preceded her on June 13, 2022.
Chickie lived most of her life in Spring Valley, but was able to live at the Villages, Florida for ten years. The last eleven years she came back to Illinois and most recently lived in Woodridge to be close to family. She enjoyed cooking, family and friends. Most of all she enjoyed her time with her husband, they were inseparable and never apart. She will be truly missed. She was a parishioner of The Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Spring Valley.
She is survived by one son Ronald and daughter-in-law, Sheila of Lisle; 3 grandchildren, Ryan (his wife McKenzie Shroyer) Liss, Connor Liss and Kelsey Liss.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband;

Chickie , I enjoyed living in FarmVille with you trading beautiful trees, watching our animals grow. We were good neighbors . Now you are with Ron again & Jesus, Abba Daddy , the Holy Spirit lots of family & friends. Enjoy & when I look into the evening sky & see 2 stars together twinkling I will smile knowing you & Ron are sending love down to us .
