We are heartbroken to share that Brandon William Simpson, 40, passed away on June 28, 2025, in Bettendorf, IA, following complications from a previous heart surgery.
Brandon was born on November 8, 1984, in Spring Valley, Illinois to Christine (Chris) & William (Billy) Simpson. A graduate of Hall High School, Brandon most recently lived in Davenport, IA.
Brandon's life was marked by strength, perseverance, and a heart that cared deeply for others. He faced life's challenges with quiet resilience and never hesitated to help others – especially during his grandparents' illnesses, when he stepped in to care for them without hesitation.
A dedicated worker, Brandon spent many years in landscaping and recently began pursuing a new path as a welder – getting one step closer to achieving that goal just before his illness. Known for his strength and determination, his Uncle Bob nicknamed him, "Hoss."
Brandon is survived by his mother, Chris Benassi Simpson; his father William Simpson; and his brother Derek Simpson. He is also survived by his aunt Pam (Mike) Argubright, uncle Dean (JoAnn) Benassi, and uncle Bob Weger, along with many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Shirley Benassi; paternal grandparents William and Emma Simpson; his aunt Penny Weger and cousin, Aden Lamps.
Family and friends will gather to honor Brandon's life on Sunday, July 6, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley. A guestbook may be signed by visiting bartofh.com.
Rest easy, Brandon. You'll always be missed and never forgotten.
