Died: October 29, 2023 in Lacon, IL
Donna Jean (Reed) Siebert, 79, of Peru, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Lacon Rehab and Nursing Center.
A prayer service will be held at 9:30 AM Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Peru followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church in Peru with Rev. J.A. Small officiating. Burial will follow in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home with a liturgical prayer service at 3:45 PM.
Mrs. Siebert was born December 21, 1943 in LaSalle to Kenneth and Harriet (Sharpe) Reed. She married Melvin Charles Siebert Jr. on August 4, 1962 at Holy Family Church in Oglesby. He passed away on September 24, 2014.
She was a graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School and was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Peru. She enjoyed watching CNN, Western movies and soap operas and listening to baseball games on the radio and the WLPO gentlemen in the mornings.
Survivors include 14 children, Karen Siebert (Victor) Rios of Peru, Paula Siebert (Mike) Arthon of Ingleside, Kevin Siebert, Gary Siebert, Lisa Siebert (Tom) Neal, Debbie Siebert and David Siebert all of Peru, Kristin Parker of LaSalle and Eric Siebert, Cindy Siebert, Jenny Siebert, Jeff Siebert, Steve Siebert and Julie Siebert all of Peru; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin; one daughter, Amy Siebert and her sister, Mary Ann Barkman.
Pallbearers will be David, Eric and Steve Siebert, Victor Rios, Tom Neal and Sebastian Love.
