Frank "Sonny" Ariano, 82, of Peru, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago.
A prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2022 at Mueller Funeral Home, Peru followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Peru with Rev. J.A. Small, officiating. Burial will follow in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ariano was born November 8, 1939 in Chicago to Frank J. and Ann (Tostovarsnik) Ariano. He married Linda Marie Suarez on September 23, 1961 at St. Mary's Church, DePue.
Mr. Ariano was a member of St. Mary's Church, Peru, the Peru CSO, and he coached Peru Little League Baseball for over 20 years. He had held employment as a delivery driver for Pitstick Dairy and Butternut Bread.
Survivors include his two children, Lynn (Bryan) Delvallee of Oglesby, and Neil (Amy) Ariano of Geneseo; a daughter-in-law, Kay Ariano of Aurora; 10 grandchildren, Lauren (Dave Schmitt) Delvallee, Abby Delvallee, Quinn Delvallee, and Benjamin, Maxwell, Ky, Leah, Kade, Kamden, and Keaton Ariano; and two great-grandchildren, Maggie and Anna Schmitt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda on June 9, 2019; and his twin sons, Michael and Mark Ariano.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and son-in-law. Honorary pallbearer will be Rob Jankowski.
