Died: July 15, 2023
Gary Mark Perra, 68, of Putnam, and formerly of DePue, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, while surrounded by family and friends.
A visitation for Gary will be held Friday, July 21, at the Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, with a Catholic prayer service at 5:00 PM. Cremation will be accorded following services with burial at Valley Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Gary was born on December 2, 1954 in LaSalle to Al and Shirley (Nelson) Perra. He was a graduate of DePue High School.
Gary married Marilou Pangxn Mandal on April 8, 2003. He was a self-employed businessman, a mechanic, a used car dealer, and also did small-engine repair.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Malou Perra, of Putnam; his daughter, Alison (Jeff) Sparling of Peru; and his stepdaughter, Viri Lopez, of Dewey, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tim Perra.
Memorials may be directed to the family.

May you rest in peace Gary. We spent a lot of time together back in our younger days. We did a lot of cruising and a lot other things. Those were the days. May you meet up with all of our family up the heaven.

Gary cant be described with words. He was a one of a kind person who everyone should have had the pleasure to meet. God love you Gary!

Gary was a good guy, always willing to lend a hand if someone needed it. We had a lot of laughs when we were younger. Gods speed my friend, there is no more pain.
