Lloyd L. Streeter
Lloyd L. Streeter, 81, husband of Karen Voss Streeter, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 13, 2025.
Born in Alcona County, MI, he was a son of the late Ansley Streeter and the late Minnie Wright Streeter.
Lloyd received his Bachelor's Degree from Bob Jones University. Through the years, he continued his education, graduating from three seminaries. He held two Master's Degrees and a Doctorate. He earned his Doctor of Ministry Degree from Louisiana Baptist Seminary in Shreveport. Several books and articles from his pen have been published. He had been a traditional Baptist preacher for more than 55 years. He served as a pastor of three Baptist churches in Michigan and Illinois, including a thirty year ministry at First Baptist in LaSalle, Illinois. He led the LaSalle congregation in founding LaSalle-Peru Christian School, a K4 through grade twelve Christian school, which has operated successfully since 1978. As a preacher, he has been known for his expository messages from the Word of God.
In addition to his loving wife of 60 years, he is survived by his sons, Richard Streeter (Amy) of Greenville and Bill Streeter (Mitzi) of St. Louis, MO; a daughter, Sandra Hamiel (Brian) of LaSalle, IL; a brother, Charlie Streeter (Betty) of Harrisville, MI; sisters, Jennie Newman of Harrisville, MI and Minnie Lou; grandchildren, Victoria Hamiel, Christina Hamiel, Braden Hamiel (Mackenzie), Samuel Streeter, Anna Johansen (Christian), Jacob Streeter, Arden Streeter, Ainslie Streeter, and Travis Streeter; great-grandchildren, Miles and Rowan; and many other special friends and family members.
In addition to his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by a sister, Alice Cooper; and a brother-in-law, Neal Cooper.
The services were held on June 19th, 2025 in Greenville, South Carolina at the White Oak Baptist Church.
