Margaret Aubry, 94, formerly of Waltham Twp., passed away on December 4, 2025 at Pleasant View in Ottawa, IL.
Mass of Christian Burial will held be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at the St. Mary's Church in Utica with Rev. Paul Carlson, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery in Ottawa. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa, IL. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Margaret was born on March 9, 1931, to John and Mary (O'Donnell) Walsh in Ottawa, IL. On June 26, 1954, she married Harold Aubry at St. Columba Church in Ottawa. From that day forward, Margaret and Harold lived on the Aubry family farm where they devoted their lives to each other, their faith and family. Margaret loved the farm life she created with Harold and her children. She cherished time spent living in her rural home cooking, baking, and visiting with her loved ones, most notedly her little ones. Margaret was a wonderful example of hard work, dedication to family and held a strong passion for her Catholic faith. She will be dearly missed by many.
Margaret is survived by her 7 children, Kathleen Farrell, Mary Holland, David (Sheryl) Aubry, Stephen Aubry, Joan (Dale) Graham, Daniel (Darci) Aubry, and Paul (Chris) Aubry. She leaves behind grandchildren, Brian & Jennifer Farrell, Melanie Lukacsy, Nathan and Michael Holland, Amanda Carter, Jonathan, Brandon, Lauren, Madison, and Jacob Aubry, Cassie Hartman, Megan Diss, Hannah Sauter, Olivia Ficek, Julia Graham, Breann Johnson, Keagan Klein, and Stephanie Howze. Great grandchildren Austin, Aubry, TJ, Ava, Collin, Jack, Brileigh, Sophia, Brady, Brileigh, Finnegan, Rory, Charlotte, Chase, Sonny, Kate, Lea, Kallyn, Makynlee, Briar, Parker, Wyatt, Nash, Cohen, Hadley, Leo and Luke.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harold, her parents, her siblings, Mary Irene Walsh, Rita Pillion, Catherine Harmon, Thomas Walsh, Leo Walsh, and Joanne Stortz, numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Church, Utica or Marquette Academy.
