Died: September 22, 2025 in Peoria, IL.
Marie A. Urbanski passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 22nd at OSF St. St. Francis in Peoria. A mass of Christian Burial will be at Noon on Monday September 29th at St. Hyacinth Church. The Very Reverend Fr. Small will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be in the church on Monday from 9 to 11:45. Marie was born on May 4, 1955 at St. Mary's Hospital in LaSalle to Edward and Vivan (Schwamberger) Yaklich. She married Gary Urbanski, her Romeo high school sweetheart, and most of all her best friend on March 4, 1972 at St. Roch's Church in LaSalle. There fifty-three years of marriage were made of everlasting memories to be told by their family for years. She was employed by Badge-A-Minit for several years until her retirement. During her retirement she worked for K-Mart and the YMCA. Her greatest love was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She cherished following her children throughout all their activities which continued into the grandchildren. She was their number one fan. Missing any of their activities was not an option to her. Her grandchildren and great grandchild put a special sparkle in here eyes. She really enjoyed when her and Gary would take a ride in her corvette. She was always up for cooking outside, listening to Polka Music, and as simple as getting her hair done. (You will be greatly missed) She is survived by: her Husband; Gary, Two Sons; Michael (Laura) Urbanski, Jason (Christa) Urbanski. One Daughter; Kelly (Rick) Spangler. Ten Grandchildren; Ashley, Avery, Addison, Aubrey, Colby, Cooper, Ceyton, Christian, Rylee, and Ryker. Three Step Grandchildren; Trent, Nick, and gage. One great Grandchild; Crue. One Brother; Gary Yaklich of Princeton. She is preceded in death by: her parents, Two Sisters; Linda Bokus (2025), and Debbie Pyszka (2017) In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for her favorite charities.
