Phillip Fronczke, 75, of Spring Valley, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial visitation for Phil will be held on Thursday, November 13th, from 2:00 until 4:00 PM, at the Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley, with a brief prayer service beginning at 4:00 PM.
Phil was born in Chicago on May 22, 1950, to the later Walter and Eloise (Usavage) Fronczke. He married Stephanie Filipiak on March 13, 1976, in Cape Coral, FL, and together they shared 49 years of love, laughter, and family.
Phil had a long and fulfilling career as an IBEW #176 Union electrician, beginning in 1971. He retired in 2006. Phil loved the outdoors and spent countless hours hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Spring Valley Sportsman's Club and the West End Gun Club, where he served as president for many years. He also belonged to the Masonic Lodge. Phil loved hosting family gatherings, cooking family meals, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie, of Spring Valley; his daughter, Allison (Matt) Spayer of Spring Valley; his son, Cory Fronczke, of Spring Valley; five grandchildren, Madeline, Otto, Natalia, Charlotte, and Alistair; and his brother, William (Lois) Fronczke of Downers Grove.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents.
