Ralph Scott Grasser, 63, passed away November 5, 2025 at his residence in Palm Springs, California.
He was born November 6, 1961 in Spring Valley, IL, the first son of Louis and Hetta (Baker) Grasser.
Scott graduated Amboy High School in 1979 and Western Illinois University in 1982. He was commissioned through ROTC as an Army officer. Captain Scott Grasser served in the Infantry, Military Police and the Army Special Forces. After departing the service in 1990, he was a corporate security leader in CA; followed by international security in Algeria, Iraq and Director of Security in Afghanistan working for CONTRACK International.
Scott is Past Commander of Palm Springs American Legion Post 519 and a lifetime member of the Special Forces Association.
Scott is survived by his mother Hetta, sisters Lynda Grasser, Laurie (Dan) Nauman, Diane (Steve) Delhotal, Cheryl (Bill) Gross, his brother Eric Grasser; niece Dana Considine, nephews Nick (Jenny) Nauman, Luke (Brandy) Delhotal, Eli (Abbi) Delhotal, and Colt Gross; great-nieces Annelise and Clare Considine, Natalee Delhotal; great-nephews Kainan Considine, Ashton and Max Delhotal; aunts Donna Forney and Donna Baker. His cherished cats are Oreo and Lil Girl.
He was preceded in death by his father and niece Lisa Nauman.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025 from 2 PM to 5 PM at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy, IL.
Visitation will be on Monday, Nov. 24, 2025 from 10 AM to 11 AM at Emmaus Lutheran Church in McNabb, Illinois. Funeral services to follow at 11 AM.
Burial at Friends Cemetery, McNabb. Arrangements by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com.
