Ralph M. Terry Jr.

Born: July 1, 1957; Mendota

Died: December 17, 2020; Mendota

Ralph M. Terry Jr., 63, of Mendota, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Memorial services will be at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Wasmer Funeral Home is privileged to be assisting the family.

Ralph was born July 1, 1957, in Mendota to Ralph Sr. and Maxine (Cork) Terry. He was part of the Class of 1975 at Mendota High School. During his work career he was in maintenance with Liberty Village, Peru until his retirement. Ralph enjoyed fishing and bike riding and often combined the two. He lived in Minnesota before his return to Illinois, and continued to cheer on his Minnesota Vikings football team. Ralph was a friend to all at Liberty Village. He spread his compassion and cheer to his coworkers and patients families alike. His outstanding character won him the Illinois Health Care Association 2018 Environmental Services Professional of the year award.

Ralph is survived by his Mom and best friend: Maxine of Mendota; one brother: Kevin (Cheryl) Terry of Peru; four sisters: Linda (Larry) Walter of Missouri, Deb Phalen of Mendota, Kathy Reppin of La Salle and Denise Holzner of Mendota; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his dad, 1/27/1995, and maternal and paternal grandparents. Memorials may be directed to Mendota Area Senior Services.
