Robert J. "Trapper" Kuhar
Born: September 10, 1955 in LaSalle, IL
Died: October 15, 2025 in Oglesby, IL
Robert J. "Trapper" Kuhar, 70 of Oglesby died October 15, 2025 unexpectedly in his home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday October 24, 2025 in the Shields Funeral Chapel, Oglesby. The Rev. Paul Carlson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Valentine's Cemetery, Spring Valley.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Friday in the funeral chapel.
Trapper was born September 10, 1955 in LaSalle to William and Eleanore (Piotrowski) Kuhar.
Trapper worked for the City of Oglesby in the street department for 30 years.
Trapper was one of a kind, a great guy. He was a kind hearted, generous, hard working, selfless person who would give you the shirt off his back. If anyone needed help, he was always there to lend a hand and never expected anything in return.
H enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading and playing cards.
If you knew him, you liked him. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten.
He is survived by 2 brothers; Bill Kuhar of Avon, IN and Ken (Pat) Kuhar of Denver, a sister Kris (Jim Zens) Hunter of Oglesby, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
