Sandra Kay Carpenter, 71, of Ohio, IL, passed away Tuesday, Aug 19, 2025 at OSF St Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born March 24, 1954 in Mendota, IL the daughter of Harry and Arlita (Murray) Molln. Sandra graduated from LaMoille High School the class of 1972. She married John "Joe" J. Carpenter July 10, 1982 in Ohio, IL. She was a member of First Lutheran Church of Ohio most of her life. Over the years she helped on the family farm and she also worked at Carus Publishing Company. Sand's hands were rarely still. She was an avid gardener, quilter, baker and dog enthusiast. If you knew sandy you may have been a recipient of a funny birthday card, a homemade treat, a plant, or a quilt. Just some of her ways of showing her love and uplifting support of others.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband Joe Carpenter of Ohio, IL; one daughter: Jessie (Eric Garrett) Carpenter of LaMoille, IL: two siblings: Alan (Debra) Molln and Richard (Theresea) Molln both of Ohio, IL; several nieces and nephews; and one special four legged friend Sunnie Rae.
Memorial visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 PM Friday, Aug. 22 at teh First Lutheran Church in Ohio. Memorial service will be held Sat. Aug. 23 at 11:00 AM at the Church with Pastors Jeff and Lori Whalen officiating. Memorials in her memory can be directed to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue in LaSalle, IL. Sandy was a forever kind of friend. She was compassionate, thoughtful and generous with her time and talent. I loved the times we went to various garden walks and laughed about so many things. I moved away and I missed having the chance to get together. Joe and Jessie, I´m sending you love and giant hugs. My heart breaks for you.

Dear Ones....my heart is broken and my prayers for the two of you and her other family members are constant. She was al things wonderful....thoughtful, sweet, kind and sooo talented.
