Died: June 29, 2022 in Dalzell, IL
Shirley (Cull) Glover, 91, of Peru, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the JPO Retirement Home in Dalzell where she resided since August of 2017.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Peru with Fr. John Baptist Uwigaba, officiating. Burial will follow in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru.
Mrs. Glover was born July 23, 1930 in Ottawa to Everett and Evelyn (Craven) Cull. She married James R. Glover on September 18, 1948 in Seatonville. Mrs. Glover was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Peru and was employed with JCPenney's for 30 years. She loved to decorate, listen to music, and enjoyed shopping and going out to dinner.
Survivors include her children, Robert (Linda) Glover of Dalzell and Julie Glover of Wayne City; three grandchildren, Chad Glover of Dekalb, Craig Glover of Chicago, and Amy (Tom Putman) Glover of Peru; two great-grandchilren, Madyson and Carson Putman; two brothers, Ronald (Delores) Cull of Newark and Samuel (Kathy) Cull of Peru; one sister, Patricia White of Peru; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James on November 16, 1998; her son, Brian on November 13, 1993; two brothers, Everett Jr. and Bill Cull; and her daughter-in-law, Connie Glover on June 5, 2021.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Peru.
