Steven M. Innis, 34, of Utica, passed away December 26, 2021 in St. Margaret's Health in Peru after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 7:00 PM in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with The Very Rev Thomas Otto officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 until time of services.
Steven was born in Peru on November 14, 1987 to Paul and Leonora Innis. He was a supervisor at August Hill Winery in Utica. He loved playing tennis and duo competitions with his brother Sean. He enjoyed music and playing guitar. He was funny and loved to make everyone laugh.
Steven is survived by his mother and step-father Mark and Leonora Anning of Tonica; his father and step-mother Paul and Gretchen Innis of La Salle; his fiancée Michaela Russell of Utica; three brothers, Sean (Carrie) Innis of Ottawa, Grant Innis of Chicago and Kelly Innis of La Salle; maternal grandparents Sally and Jerry Scoma of Peru; paternal grandmother Kathleen Innis of Peru; many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Tony Innis and an uncle Anthony Innis.
