OGLESBY – Thomas W. Roscoe, 74, of Oglesby, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021, in his home.
Private family services will be held, and private burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Granville, IL. The Helmer-Shields Funeral Home in Granville, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Roscoe was born September 17, 1946 in Nashville, TN to William and Leona (Frey)Roscoe. He married Christine Biagi on October 21, 2000 in Groveland, IL.
Mr. Roscoe had his first job delivering messages for Western Union. He was an Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1969. During his time serving his country, he was an electronics technician, which turned out to be his lifelong career. He was the first person to sell a CD-ROM while working forHitachi in the United States and Japan. He retired from B & B Electronics in Ottawa. He was also a member of the Oglesby American Legion.
Mr. Roscoeis survived by his wife Christine of Oglesby; his daughter, Katrina (Jerry)Derrick of LaFayette, Louisiana; and extended family and friends.
Mr Rosco ewas preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Samual Roscoe.
