Thomas Strykowski Obituary

Thomas A. Strykowski
Born: December 14, 1959 in Lombard, Illinois
Died: March 7, 2025 in Princeton, Illinois
Thomas A. Strykowski, 65, of Princeton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 7 th , 2025, in his home.
Thomas, better known as Tommi Stryk, was born on December 14 th , 1959, to Joseph and Theresa Strykowski (Walkowski). He was born and raised in Lombard, Illinois, and lived part of his life in California, where he fell in love with the mountains. Later in life, he returned to Illinois where he would eventually settle down and raise his three children.
He is survived by his children, Samantha Strykowski, Cynthia (Christopher) Nicezyporuk, and Rebecca Strykowski (Tyler Eden); and his sister, Janice Turskey. Beyond immediate and extended family, he had many friends that he had made over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Throughout his life, he worked the music circuit, assisting with all things lighting and sound. Anyone that met Tommi could easily see how passionate he was about music, given the amount of stories he would share. He worked in the telecommunications field most of his life and truly
found his niche. He was the go-to person for all technological things, leading to the creation of his long-term home business, Home Entertainment Xperts. He is remembered for his unique sense of humor, fantastic cooking abilities, embarrassing haggling skills, love of good deals and food, and devotion to his daughters. He will be loved, missed, and remembered always.
Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are through The Fiocchi Funeral Homes. Private online condolences may be left for his family at www.FiocchiFuneralHomes.com.
Memorials may be directed to his family.

Tommi, what a great guy. I'm sorry you had to leave so soon. I hope you know how much you're missed and what a mark you left here on so many people. I also hope that you ran into my brother and had a good laugh! Will miss you, but you're not too far away, right?

Oh my gosh! I was deeply saddened to hear about Tommy's passing. He had been in so much pain for so long. He's out of pain now. I was Tommy's caregiver for over three years & got to know him well. We would have trivia guesses on old music & movies & he'd usually win- at least the music part! He did love the weekly sales at Sullivans, where I'd go for him weekly. He often got the deli meat & cheese sale. I enjoyed his cooking knowledge & taught me a lot about some of his recipes! I loved his cats, Lucy & Ethel & they like me, I think. He was such a good man. He would do anything for his friends & family! I will miss our times together! Condolences to the family!

So sad to hear your gone my friend. I still tell stories of the shenanigans we pulled in the late 70s and 80s. From parties, to working on our cars, to working with you in the lighting biz, with Soxx, Features and others. We had nary a dull moment my friend. Keep a seat available for me when it's my turn to shuffle off into the light. Love you man!!
