Carol Ann Johnson
Piedmont - Carol Ann Johnson, 76 of Piedmont passed away peacefully on April 12, 2021 at her residence with loving family by her side.
Born December 16, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Randolph and Elizabeth (Fairfax) Johnson. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Harlan "Dude" Fairfax and Robert Johnson, Sr; niece, Debbie Clifford; nephews, Robert Johnson, Jr, Larry Marshall and Tony Washington; great niece, DéBetra Clifford; and great nephew, Arthur P. Clifford II.
Carol is survived by her aunt, Herlda Senhouse; and sisters-in-law, Deloris Fairfax and Charlotte Johnson. She is also survived by her nephew, whom was raised as her brother, Robert Fairfax; nieces Pamela Sanders and Edith Beard; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Carol was a member of the Waldon United Methodist Church, Piedmont. She volunteered with the foster grandparents program, as well as several other community programs that involved helping with children. Carol was the Vice Chairperson for the Backstreet Reunion Committee. She was a life member of the 3518 VFW Auxiliary and also a member of the Piedmont Legion Auxiliary. Carol loved her family and friends, and enjoyed being involved in many community activities. Carol silently helped many people as this was one of her joys in life. Although Carol had no children of her own, she was Aunt Carol to many and she was loved by many.
Carol and her family are eternally grateful to Ryan Coleman, who she said was her son, for all the support and love he showed her, and also, Rae Coleman whom she said was like her sister for all the love and support.
A graveside service will take place at Thorn Rose Cemetery, Keyser, on Friday, April 16th at 1:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions in the name of Carol may be directed to the Waldon United Methodist Church or the After School Program, where she was actively involved.
Boal Funeral Home, Westernport has been entrusted with the care of Ms. Johnson.
