Debra Rexroad Obituary
Rawlings, MD - Debra Kay Rexroad, 62, of Rawlings, MD, died Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on October 9, 1958 in Cumberland, MD, she was a daughter of Nellie J. (Thrasher) Rexroad of Rawlings and the late Therman Wilson Rexroad.
Miss Rexroad was a 1976 graduate of Bruce High School and was employed as a secretary to the Supervisor of the State of Maryland Department of Assessment and Taxation. She was a life long member of the Dawson United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer and on the church council. She was also a former member of the Antique Bowling Club in LaVale, MD.
Surviving, in addtion to her mother, is her sister, Carol J. Rexroad of Rawlings and her best friend from high school, Mary Ann (Grove) Leatherman and her family of Westernport, MD. Also surviving are numerous cousins.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 4-6 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Dawson United Methodist Church on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike McGowan officiating. Friends may also call at the church one hour prior to the service.
Those attending are reminded that face masks and social distancing are recommended.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.
