Gregory Barnes Obituary
Pine Grove - Gregory Ray Barnes, 51 of Pine Grove ,West Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on May 29, 2021, after complications from COVid-19. He was born April 7, 1970 in Cumberland, Maryland and was the son of the late Garland "Sam" and Carolyn (Hare) Barnes, he was also preceded in death by a niece, Emerysn.
Greg was hard working and took wonderful care of his family. He had a huge heart and often displayed random acts of kindness. Greg was an avid hunter and fisher and enjoyed being outside.
He is survived by his best friend and wife Rebekah (Willey) Barnes. Children: Joseph (Danielle)Barnes, Sierra, Hailey, Gabriel, Khole, Jaxson and Harland "Ikey". His siblings: Shawn Barnes, Scotty (Sue) Barnes, Krista (Vince) Manna. Greg is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ike and Tina Willey, who loved Greg like a son. Two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Leighanna (Dwayne) Adkins, Katie (Abdul) Al-Janaby and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, RR20 Reader West Virginia 2:00 pm

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Greg was always such a nice guy. Haven't seen him in years. He will be missed.

I’m very sorry for Greg’s wife and children, I offer my dearest condolences for his entire family. I met Greg just recently the past year working together at Blacksville. Immediately he caught my attention, because he stood out in his performance. He was highly knowledgeable, extremely motivated, and very skilled in his job proficiency. Greg was always more than willing to give anyone a helping hand, or quick to offer beneficial knowledge to make things easier and safer for all of us. In the few months I got to know Greg. I learned that we both grew up not very far from one another and shared a lot of the same interests. I really enjoyed listening to his stories and the conversations we shared daily on CB radio as we worked. I believe he was a great asset to Anderson’s, and he will truly be missed. I was extremely saddened by his sudden passing, and disheartened. I offer my truest and deepest condolences. RIP
