November 17, 1954 - January 20, 2022
Catherine Sue "Cathy" Toman, 67, of Fraser Lane, Staunton, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Ms. Toman was born in Staunton, Virginia on November 17, 1954, a daughter of the late Leonard Wheeler Toman and Catherine Precious (Huffman) Toman.
Cathy retired in 2021 from Hershey's and attended St. John's United Methodist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening, decorating and was a rescuer of cats. Cathy loved spending time with her family, whom she dearly loved, and will be remembered for having a passion to help others.
Surviving is a brother, Gary D. Toman of Verona; four sisters, Rebecca Ann Bruce of Staunton, Janice Johnson and Ella M. Huffman (Scott) both of Verona, and Joyce F. Miller of Goochland; special friend, Nick Davis of Waynesboro; nieces and nephews, Cheryl, Jeffrey, Shelley, Shawn, Kris, Jennifer, and Jessica; and her fur babies, "C.C.", Rain, Raven, and Caterina.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022 in Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by the Reverend William "Bill" Trice.
The family will receive friends following the service.
It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to the Frontier Culture Museum, P.O. Box 810, Staunton VA 24402, Wildlife Center of Virginia, P.O. Box 1557, Waynesboro VA 22980 or the Valley Mission, 1513 West Beverley Street, Staunton VA 24401.
The family would like to express a sincere "Thank you" to Cathy's medical team at Augusta Health for the care and compassion shown to her and her family.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.

I'm sad to hear of the loss of a special person and a very good friend. I enjoyed working with her and the laughs and good times we had. She will be missed. My prayers to the family and may you find peace to know, that heaven has a new angel.
