Charles Norwood "Charlie" Weems

1956 - 2022

Charles Norwood "Charlie" Weems, 66, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Augusta Health. He was born on September 4, 1956, a son of the late Dr. Bliss K. and Mildred C. (Grove) Weems.

Charlie was a graduate of both Wilson Memorial High School and Blue Ridge Community College. He was employed for 35 with the former Wayne-Tex Compant and retired from Daikin Applied.

He loved music and playing the guitar, fishing with his sons and talking football with his grandsons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wade Weems, Ray Weems, and a granddaughter, Juilianna Snell.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Higgins Weems; sons, Vaughn Weems of Stuarts Draft, Carlin Weems of Stuarts Draft, Brent Snell and wife, Angela, of Lyndhurst, Branden Weems of Stuart Draft, and Michael Weems of Waynesboro; 10 grandchildren; brother, Henri Weems and wife, Elaine, of Nellysford; and sisters, Christine Weems of Waynesboro, Nancy Farrell of Cincinatti, and Marion Vosburgh and husband, Toby, of Charlotte, N.C.

Following cremation a celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
