HAROLD "BUD" LOYD STAUNTON, VA<$>

Harold "Bud" Max Loyd, 65, husband of Betty (Snyder) Loyd, of 611 Randolph Street, Staunton, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at his residence.

He was born January 10, 1942, in Augusta County, the son of the late Herbert and Ruby (Redifer) Loyd.

Mr. Loyd was a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from Driver Brothers.

In addition to being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing.

In addition to his loving wife of 46 years, family members include three sons and two daughters-in-law, David Loyd, Mark and Patricia Loyd, Kenneth and Tomika Robertson; a daughter, Amanda Caplette, all of Staunton; six grandchildren, Siobhan Ward and her husband, Jerry, Megan Loyd, Kavon Robertson, Zane Roberts, Peyton Caplette, Kourtney Robertson, all of Staunton; a great grandson, Dyllon Ward; a brother, Leon Redifer and his wife, Mona, of Mount Solon; a sister, Louise Bland and her husband, Guy, of Riverton, WV; a special sister-in-law, JoAnn McLain of Staunton; a special nephew, Michael Agnor of Augusta County; and two special nieces, Paige Sheets of Staunton and Melissa Stokes of Swoope.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2007, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Mr. Danny Pritchett. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Ronald Snyder, Rick Redifer, Allen Redifer, Michael Agnor, Joe Snyder, and Eddie Snyder.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Nelson, Mark Stokes, Mike Sheets, Scott Roberts, Milton Driver, and Millard Driver.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2007, in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Shenandoah, P. O. Box 215, Fishersville, VA 22939.
