Matthew Paul Goepel, 59, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at his residence. He was born on August 14, 1962, in Bethesda, Md., to the late Larwence Oscar Goepel and Margaret May (Hutchens) Wolfe.
Mr. Goepel was employed at Fisher Auto Parts. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hiking, hunting, kayaking and canoeing.
He is survived by two brothers, Timothy Goepel and David Andrew Goepel; a stepbrother, Tony Wolfe; four nephews, Andrew, Daniel, Bradley and Michael Goepel; a niece, Kimberley Cook; special friend, Theresa Marshall; and friend, Benny Higgs.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
