Arlie Adams Jr.

Waverly Arlie Glenn Adams, Jr., 75, of Waverly, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio surrounded by his family and friends. He was born April 18, 1947 in Kopperston, West Virginia to the late Arlie Adams Sr. and Arlene Sturgill Adams. On October 7, 1978 he was united in marriage to Vicki Beekman Adams who survives. Also surviving are a son, Sean Adams and wife ReAnna of Smithton, Illinois; a brother, David Adams and wife Kristina of Waverly; grandchildren, Lauren, Sydney and Ty Adams and Sheadyn and Kaylie Garrison; nephews, Brian and Todd Adams; brother-in-law, Mick Beekman and wife Donna of Piketon; sister-in-law, Lisa Davis and husband Mike of Piketon; and many other nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father and mother in-law, Carl "Todd" and Bertie Beekman.

Arlie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was retired from USEC. Arlie loved to fish and hunt and was the tournament director for the Lake White Wednesday Night Open Bass Tournament.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, January 20, 2023 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Julie Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery in Piketon with graveside honors conducted by Waverly American Legion Post #142. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the funeral home.
