MARYDEL, Md. - Andrew "Andy" Klein II passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021.
Andy was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 26, 1932. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Sr. and Anna Klein; his loving wife, Shirley Jane Klein; his son, Andrew John Klein III. Andy was a lifetime member of the Marydel Volunteer Fire Company. He served as the Past Chaplain of the V.F.W. in Greensboro, Maryland. Andy was Fire Policeman #56-33. He currently held a position on the Board of Directors. He was Kent County Fire Police office of the year in 2017. Andy was Fire Police of the year for Marydel Vol. Fire Company for 2020.
He is survived by his sons, Michael James Klein, Martin Davis Klein, Ronald Charles Klein, Duane Christopher Klein; his sister, Annie; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Marydel Vol. Fire Company, 110 Firehouse Lane, Marydel, Delaware. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, Maryland will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 11 a.m.
