Hemphill, 62 SMYRNA - David Hemphill affectionately known as "MOOSE", passed away tragically on September 1, 2015. David was born on January 25, 1953. He leaves to cherish his awesome memories: Patricia, his wife of 42 years; two daughters, Chrissy Hemphill and Reagan Thompson (Mike, Sr.); two grandsons, Mikie Thompson, Jr. and Hunter Thompson. Services will be private. Arrangements entrusted to Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.

Moose what can I say about a man that helped raised me and my two brothers. You were not just are brother in law but also someone that we all looked up too. You are going to be missed by so many people. If only you knew how much but I know you do because you are looking down from heaven with my brother David and Jenny. Keep an eye on us kick us in the butt once in awhile if we get out of hand ok.
