'Betty' Schrock, 84
MILFORD - Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Schrock was called home on April 3, 2022, at Bayhealth Kent Campus in Dover surrounded by those that loved her dearly. She was shortly followed by her loving husband, Pete who passed away on April 14, 2022. Betty was born on January 13, 1938, at Milford Memorial Hospital, to the late Grace and Elwood Wilkins, Sr. of Lincoln, Del.
She spent 21 years working at L.D. Caulk and retiring from there in 1994. She had also spent 10 years working at Playtex.
Betty was a devoted member of Freedom Baptist Church in Frederica, for over 30 years. She taught 3rd and 4th grade Sunday school where she was also given the opportunity to guide the Lord into many children's hearts. Betty loved her Lord. She was a very active member within her church. She loved everyone she met and always greeted them with open arms, she knew no stranger.
Betty was also very devoted to her husband of nearly 60 years, Pete. She also devoted her life to care for her younger brother, Ralph who brought much joy into her life. Betty loved spending her time doing puzzles, reading her Bible and opening her home and heart to her nieces and nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents; she was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene Wilkins, Elwood Wilkins, Jr., Ralph Wilkins; and a sister, Sara Tucker.
She is survived by sisters, Alice Ross (Jim) of Felton and Barbara Moore (Jack) of Milford; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A combined funeral service for Peter and Betty will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Freedom Baptist Church, 201 Market St., Frederica, DE 19946, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Milford Community Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to the funeral home to help defray funeral costs.
