Eric Eugene Richards Jr., 17

MILFORD - Eric Eugene Richards Jr. of Milford departed this life to be with the Lord Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007. He was 17.

He was born Aug. 29, 1990, in Milford.

Eric obtained his education through the Milford School District.

In his early school years, Eric attended Evelyn Morris Elementary School, Lincoln, later going to Benjamin Banneker and Milford Middle School.

Upon his death, he was in attendance at Milford High School where he was a part of the graduating class of 2008.

Eric had many loves, one of which was the Lord. He also loved the color blue, playing basketball, listening to music and making others laugh.

Eric had a mild and meek spirit, but was a hard worker, doing whatever he was asked to do.

He attended and was a member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Church of God, Camden.

Eric leaves behind to cherish his memories his mother, Pattie S. Hinton of Ellendale; his father, Eric E. Richards Sr. of Milton; a sister, Erica L. Hinton of Ellendale; a brother, Chad E. Hinton and wife Shervaun of Marietta, Ga.; a niece, Aniya M. Dunning of Milton; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends; and one special cousin, DeVaughn M. Bynum of Newark.

Funeral services will be noon Sunday in the Pentecostal Church of God of Lincoln, where friends may call two hours prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Ellendale.

Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Milford.
