Silverman, 87 DOVER - Irwin Herbert Silverman passed away Thursday Dec. 6, 2012 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Mr. Silverman was born May 27, 1925 in New York, N.Y. to the late Joseph Silverman and Gussie Tunis Silverman. He was a veteran of WWII during the Italian Campaign in the United States Army. Mr. Silverman was the owner of Concord TV Repair in West Islip , N.Y. After his retirement he lived in Florida before moving to Dover six years ago. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking and was devoted to his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a baby sister, Beatrice and brother, Al Silvers. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Blanche Goldschlag Silverman of Dover; Judy Forman, daughter and her husband Rusty of Westwood, N.J.; son, Paul Silverman and his wife Linda of Dover; grandchildren, Amanda Trejbrowski and her husband Jeff of Flourtown, Pa., Jane Nelson and her husband Michael of Los Angeles, Calif., Laura Cooper and her husband Brian of Mechanicsville, Va., Andrew Silverman and his wife Carolyn of Dover; great-grandchildren, Rhett and Clay Trejbrowski and Mackenzie and Chase Cooper. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
