John Clendaniel Obituary

John M. Clendaniel, 80 DOVER - John M. Clendaniel, 80, of Dover, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was born on Feb. 22, 1930, in Dover, to the late Harry and Blanch Baker Clendaniel. He was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church, Dover, for 35 years. He worked at Playtex for 51 years. He had a love for tractors and enjoyed the garden and growing lima beans. He enjoyed music and played the harmonica. He had two pets, and they were his friends, Rusty the dog and Bobby the cat. He was preceded in death by his son, John C. Clendaniel. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rebecca Clendaniel of Dover; daughter, Nancy Reece of Millington, Md.; sister, Mildred Tribbitt of Dover; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Celebration of Life Services will be noon, Monday, May 3, at Trinity Wesleyan Church in Dover. Burial will be at the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sandtown. Friends may also call from 11 a.m. to noon, Monday, May 3, at the Trinity Wesleyan Church in Dover. The family request, that memorial contributions be given to Trinity Wesleyan Church, 1564 South State Street, Dover, DE 19901. John Will surly be missed at the jam sessions.He could sure play his harmonica and he was a true musician.Now he is in heaven playing great music.Our prayers go out to his family.Musician Friends ,Fran and Rick Benson.
