Lee Sheridan Obituary
Mr. Sheridan was born Nov. 26, 1937 in Delaware to the late Patrick Sheridan and Lattitia Biddle Sheridan.
He served in the 82nd Airborne United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Sheridan was an over the road truck driver working for Harvey Trucking in NJ until 1984. Then Donald Short Trucking. He was also a self-employed mechanic and could fix anything. Mr. Sheridan played the bass and steel guitar. He loved blue grass and gospel music, golfing, bowling, fishing and drag racing in Delmar. Mr. Sheridan had coached for the Camden/Wyoming Little League and attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Frederica.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sons, Lee P. Sheridan, Jr. and Dwayne Duphily; brothers, James T. Moore and Raymond Sheridan; sister, Joan Sheridan.
He is survived by his wife of 22years, Virginia E. Tatman Sheridan of Frederica; his children, Jerald Duphily (Lindsey) of Chadds Ford, PA, Mike Duphily of Kenton, Pastor Kenneth Duphily (Lynn) of Kenton, Sandy Sheridan of Frederica, April L. Jackson (Richard Jackson, Jr.) of Dover, Shawn Harrington (Michele) of Clayton, Michael Harrington (Lisa) of Clayton, Tina Knoght (Curtis) of Cheswold, Edward Moore (Alison) of Dover and Frank Sheridan of Dover; sister, Patricia Cox of Petersburg; 28 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1PM, Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 11-1. Interment will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, PO Box 4, Frederica, DE 19946.
