Leonard H. 'Fuzzy' 'Limbo' Voss Sr., 77

SMYRNA - Leonard H. "Fuzzy" "Limbo" Voss Sr. died peacefully surrounded by his loving family in their Smyrna home on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007. He was 77.

Leonard was a self-employed commercial waterman for 40 years while farming for 30 years before retiring in 1992.

He served two years in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea during the Korean War.

He enjoyed crabbing, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.

Leonard loved his second home in Montana and was most happy when family and friends would visit and he could show them the beautiful scenery of Montana.

He was predeceased by his parents, Walter B. and Annie Voss; four brothers, Burton Voss, Francis Voss, Norman Voss and Stanley Voss; and one sister, Elva Taylor.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Shirley; children, Lynne Lowman and her husband Larry, Leonard Voss Jr., Lawrence Voss Sr. and his wife Karen, Karen Virdin and her husband David, and B. Kelly Voss and his wife Marci; 11 grandchildren, Joseph Leager Jr., Holly Smith and her husband, Melinda Leager-Wheeler and her husband, Leonard Voss III, Zachary Voss, Lauren Voss, Lawrence Voss Jr., David Virdin, Robert Virdin, Jacob Voss and Jason Voss; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia Smith and Piper Smith; his twin brother, Lawrence; two sisters, Jeannette Killen and Marian Hand; and a host of nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.

Instead of flowers, contributions can be made in his name for the education and research of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy at CurePSP, Executive Plaza III, 11350 McCormick Road, Suite 906, Hunt Valley, MD 21031.
