'Chrissie' Donnelly, 78
BRIDGEVILLE, Del. - Marie Christine "Chrissie" Donnelly passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Tidal Health at Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford, Delaware.
She was born on June 27, 1943 in Wilmington, Delaware the daughter of the late T. Warren McCafferty and Marie Sevier McCafferty.
Growing up in Wilmington, she later graduated from Trinity Washington University in Washington, DC with a Bachelor's degree in music. Her talents, abilities and love for music opened doors to sing as a Cantor at St. Bernadette's (Springfield, Va.) and Our Lady of Victory (Washington, DC).
She was married to Thomas R. Donnelly, Jr. on February 23, 1963.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Seaford. In her free time, Chrissie enjoyed classical music, golfing, cooking, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas R. Donnelly, Jr. of Bridgeville; two sons, Thomas R. Donnelly, III and his wife Ivy of Arcola, Va., and Derek Donnelly and his wife Lisa of Manassas, Va.; six grandchildren, Renny Donnelly, Conner Donnelly, Katelyn Donnelly, Ryan Donnelly, Justin Donnelly, and Colin Donnelly.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by a son, Terence Donnelly; a brother, T. Warren McCafferty, Jr.; and a sister, Phyllis Haley.
Services will be announced at a later date.
