OKEECHOBEE, Fla. - Glenda Noel Acheson passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Raulerson Hospital. She was born on November 18, 1937 to Firth and Eva Fortune.
She was a professional entertainer and keyboard player in a band that she formed called the Touch of Class. Her family will truly miss hearing her play her favorite gospel hymns at home on her piano. Glen retired as a master ceramicist, owner of Designs by Glen, where she created beautiful, one of a kind ceramic vases, traveling with Buckler Promotions all over the southeast doing arts and craft shows, and also teaching classes in Okeechobee.
Glen is survived by her six children, Michelle (Pernell Bert) Chandler, Gerald Acheson, Okeechobee, Doreen Acheson, Okeechobee, Mark (Kathy) Nielsen, Stroudsburg, Pa., Ted (Gail) Acheson, Troy, S.C., and Letitia Yates, Okeechobee. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 29 great- grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.
