Lewis Gamlen Obituary
Okeechobee - Lewis B. Gamlen passed away June 24, 2021. He was a graduate of Morrisville College of New York in 1950. He retired from Pratt-Whitney in 1985. Lew was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and also attended First Baptist Church.
Lew was preceded in death by his parents, Howlett and Iva Gamlen; brother, Lewellyn Gamlen; sister, Lamoine Gamlen; daughter, Dale Hawkins; grandson, Michael Hawkins; and stepson, Robert Wood.
Mr. Gamlen was the beloved husband of Ruth Gamlen; father of Judy Mauk (Lloyd) of Rock Spring, Ga., LouAnn Gruetter (Stan) of Chattanooga, Tenn., Scott Gamlen (Barbara) of Calhoun, Ga., Darren Gamlen (Rita) of Chickamauga, Ga.; stepfather of Carol Wood-Koob (Rolf) of Lowell, Vt., Michael Wood (Cindie) of Freehold, N.J., and Lynn Abis (Howard) of North Carolina.
Memorial services were held 2 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2021 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home.

I just talked to Linda Gonta with her telling me that Lewis had passed. Please accept my sympathy's. I know loosing a spouse is difficult. One day we will all be together in heaven with them and praising our Lord.
