Ruthie Louise Story Carden, 78
OKEECHOBEE - Ruthie Louise Story Carden died October 29, 2021. She was born March 16, 1943 in Kenansville, Florida to John Edwin Story and Eunice Corbin Story. A resident of Okeechobee since the 1960s, she was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed tending her flowers and cooking for her family and friends.
Mrs. Carden was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Robert Lee Carden.
She is survived by her son, Dale Fulwider (Jennifer), of Okeechobee; daughter, Lori Fulwider Cameron, of Okeechobee; two grandchildren, Levi Whitten (Kayla) and Avery Fulwider; two great grandchildren, Dominick Whitten and Leyla Whitten; brothers, Ary J. Story (Gayle), of Okeechobee, and John David Story (Nancy), of Port St. Lucie; and sister, Margaret Story Corley, of Alabama.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice.
