William Dunleavy Obituary

William Daniel Dunleavy

William Daniel "Bill" Dunleavy, age 54, of Charlotte N.C. and formerly of Sanford, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006 at his home. A native of Paterson, N.J., he was a son of the late Grant J. and Grace Branch Dunleavy. He lived in Florida for the past 15 years where he was a truck driver for Vince LaMariana and had previously worked for Southeastern Communications Services.

Mr. Dunleavy was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Claire Hicks.

He is survived by: son, William D. Dunleavy II of Sanford; daughters, Barbara L. Dunleavy of Mebane, N.C. and Wendy L. (Raul) Webb of Brown Summit, N.C.; sisters, Marjorie D. (Wayne) Kirkman of Eden N.C., Rachel Dunleavy and Terry Dunleavy, both of Reidsville, N.C. and Claudia D. (Viktor) Stegmeir of Charlotte, N.C.; brother, Brian (Lynn) Dunleavy of Covington, Va.; love of his life, Debbie Dunleavy; and, five grandchildren.

Graveside services were held on Monday, Dec. 11, in Evergreen Memory Gardens.

The family has requested memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 4193, Eden. N.C. 27289-4193.
