PRINCESS ANNE - Barbara Ann McCready died Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on February 25, 1938, she was a daughter of the late William Henry and Jeanette Truitt Elliott.
A homemaker and poultry farmer, she enjoyed crafts, reading, fishing and was a fabulous cook. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She was very active in church throughout her life. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church as a child, Rehobeth Baptist Church in her later years, and most recently the Crisfield Church of God. She also loved the church services during her residency at Chesapeake Cove Assisted Living and Tawes Nursing Home. Her other memberships included Order of the Eastern Star where she was also a Rainbow Girl in her younger years.
She is survived by five children, Kristin Michel and husband William of Princess Anne, Michael McCready and wife Betsy of Princess Anne, Paula Todd and husband Mike of Crisfield, Mark McCready of Princess Anne, and Andrea Harrison and husband Mark of Easton; two sisters, Cynthia Coons of Rehobeth, MD and Judy Watson and husband Gary of Seaford, DE; 11 grandchildren, Lauren Hawke and husband Zach, Nichole Green and husband Byron, Dr. Robert "Bobby" McCready, DDS and wife Ashley, Aaron McCready and wife Maddie, Storm Parks and husband Greg, Henry "Hank" Todd and wife Victoria; Carly Todd, Timothy Brewer and wife Kristina, Mathew McCready and wife Erica, Andrew Harrison, and Abigail "Abbey" Harrison; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Elliott and Barry Elliott; and two great-grandchildren, Lexi and Alex Hawke.
Funeral services officiated by Reverends Harvey and Alana Tyler were held Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a visitation was Saturday evening from 6-8. Interment was in Rehoboth Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chesapeake Cove Assisted Living Activities Fund, 201 Hall Highway, Crisfield, MD 21817.
