Alberta Floyd Obituary

Alberta P. Floyd of Bethany passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, in the home she built with her husband of 56 years, the late Richard A. Floyd. Alberta was born in New Haven to the late Matthew and Maria(Ciarleglio) Petrosino. She grew up in the Minor Park area of West Haven, where her grandparents owned a farm. After marriage, she moved to Bethany where she raised two sons, Richard (Theresa) of Cheshire and Matthew (Christine) of Bethany. In early years, she worked for different insurance companies and obtained her insurance agent license. In addition to her children, she is survived by her five beloved grandchildren, Caitlin, Brianna, Matthew, Danielle, and Mackenzie. She leaves a sister Madeline Moran of AZ and the late Prudence Polverari of Bethany, CT.
There will be a private service in St. Lawrence Cemetery where she will be entombed with her husband.
