My family has known Al for over 50 years. We all met because of Drum Corps. He and Dennis were instructors for our little corps. Al on horn. He was a regular guest every Friday night in our home for years.
I remember sending him a hard boiled egg at Easter- time when he was in the service. I wonder how he explained that to his platoon buddies. He was a very caring, wonderful man. We are saddened to here of his death, but I am sure that my husband John met him at the pearly gates with open arms to welcome him home.

To Al's Family and friends. I was saddened to learn of Al's passing. I worked with and for Al for 20 years. Al should be formally credited by the State with accomplishing the total transformation of the Connecticut Technical High School system. Working under his is leadership, background and knowledge was truly a positive life experience. He brought out the best in the people he worked with.

To Al´s family and friends-
I had the privilege of working both for and with Al for nearly two decades. He was among the very best of clients and one of the most humble of men-truly a class act. Al worked selflessly and with deep commitment for the students, faculty and extended community whom he served and always did so with the bearing of a gentleman. While his passing leaves a huge void, Al left behind an even greater legacy that will endure.

I had the pleasure of working with Al on the design and construction of Kaynor and Wilcox Technical High School projects, and various upgrades to the Technical High School buildings during his career. He was a good guy, a reasonable trustworthy man and he made a tough job easier. Rest in Peace Al-

Richmond Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Al for years on many of the Vo-Tech renovation projects. Simply put he was one of the finest individuals I have had the pleasure to work with in my professional career. May he rest in peace, with deepest sympathy.

More than 10,000 students are attending a newly constructed or renovated school because of The leadership of Al Richmond. They may not know him, but what a legacy he has left. God bless his wife, his boys and the entire family during this difficult time.
