Alyssa Mushin Obituary
Our precious angel, Alyssa Anne Mushin (2-17-94 to 11-13-17) earned her wings today. She is survived by her loving family: Parents, Eileen Fine and Mark Mushin, Steven Fine (step-dad), siblings Andrew & Jenna Mushin and step-sister Destany. Grandparents Allen & Sheila Mushin and Walter Sofian as well as extended family.
Funeral Services will be held at Temple Emanuel of Greater New Haven, 150 Derby Ave, Orange,. on Wednesday Morning Nov.15 at 11:00 o'clock with interment services to follow at Temple Emanuel Cemetery, 10 Ladas Place, Shelton. A period of mourning will be held on Wednesday, & Thursday, -- Allen & Sheila Mushin's house, 741 N. Greenbrier Drive, Orange,, Saturday, @ Eileen & Steven Fine's house, 44 Franklin Avenue, Derby, CT.
Arrangements are under the care of Robert E.Shure Funeral Home , New Haven

I will miss her beautiful smile. Alyssa was lucky to have such a warm,loving and supportive family. Mark and Alyssa's grandparents would attend special events at Village school ACES. I was visiting Alyssa last week at Hospice when Jenna called and read a story to Alyssa over the phone. I could see in Alyssa's eyes how she listened to Jenna's sweet voice read a fairy tale to her older sister. Your family will miss you dearly Alyssa, but you will be in their hearts always. there is not enough tht i can say for this wonderful. lady. from the day she was born she brought nothing but love to everyone. she was an angel sent from heaven to bring love to every one who knew her. we are sadden that she left all of us so soon but now she is in heaven with the rest of the angels RIP

Alyssa was beautiful, brave and very much loved. She brighten up the world with her irresistible smile. She made history when she flew to New Zealand before she was two to undergo an experimental treatment and we held hands on the way. She is a pioneer and an inspiration who paved the way to gene therapy treatments for neurological disorders. She outlived her prognosis and fought her battle with courage, grace and the loving support of her amazing family and friends. She loved life, shined and inspired everyone she met. My most heartfelt condolences go to Alyssa's parents, her brother, her sisters, her grandparents and her entire family. Alyssa is a shining star and her bright light will lead the way to cure Canavan Disease. She'll be missed dearly but her spirit, her loving memory and her strong legacy will always live on.
