Andrew John McSherry, born March 17, 1956, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on April 12, 2025. A lifelong resident of Bethany, Connecticut, Andrew was a proud graduate of Amity High School. In his younger years, he was known for his passion for horses and made a name for himself on the rodeo circuit, where his spirited personality and love for the sport earned him many friendships and fond memories. Andrew was predeceased by his beloved parents, Robert and Joan McSherry. He leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by his three daughters: Shauna (Mike) of Southbury, CT; Diana (Sriharsha) of Skillman, NJ; and Erin (Tyler) of Eden, VT. He was a cherished grandfather to six grandchildren: Weston, Brynn, Reagan, Sri Malai, Shamitha, and Srijai. He is also survived by his six siblings: Robin Norton of Bethany, CT; Randy McSherry of Prospect, CT; Shawn McSherry and Tammy Colburn, both of Beacon Falls, CT; Robert McSherry of Bethany, CT; and Danielle Esposito of Ansonia, CT, along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Andrew's warmth, humor, and deep love for his family will be missed by all who knew him. He was a devoted animal lover, and will be reunited with his beloved dogs Ace and Jagger at the Rainbow Bridge.
