Angelo "Junior" DiLieto
Angelo "Junior" DiLieto, of North Branford, died peacefully on November 1, 2023, in Connecticut Hospice. He was the devoted and loving husband of 60 years to Barbara DePino DiLieto.
He was born in Fair Haven on January 1, 1937, a son of the late Angelo and Olympia Nastri DiLieto.
Angelo spent his career in sales. A job he loved and excelled at. He ended his career at Comcast Communications when he retired at the age of 65.
Angelo's family was his whole world. Any activity involving his kids and grandkids brought him immense joy. In his younger years, he enjoyed card nights and watching the fights with his brothers and sisters.
Angelo was the proud father of Marc (Margot) DiLieto, Maria (Scott) Gagliardi and Kristen (Chris) Heon. He loved his grandchildren, Kristina Rauccio, Matthew DiLieto, Alexander and Genna Rauccio, Jack and Charlie DiLieto, Nora and Faye Heon. He was the brother of Eleanor DiLieto and the late Fortunata Cicarelli, Jennie Fiorillo, Theresa DiLieto, Rose Wagner, Mary DiLieto, James, Biagio, Edward, Frank, Thomas and Anthony DiLieto. Junior is also survived by his brother-in-law and life long friend, James DePino, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 4-7 p.m. in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place, New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ambrose Parish at St. Augustine Church, 30 Caputo Rd., North Branford. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. Memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, www.hospice.com . Share a memory and sign Junior's Tribute online at www.iovanne.com .
