Ann Marie Marone
December 15, 1941 - July 4, 2024
Ann Marie Marone, 82 of Madison died peacefully July 4th at Autum Lake Healthcare of Madison after a long illness. Born in New Haven, daughter of the late Arthur & Francis Hill Nutcher, Ann Marie worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections as a juvenile counselor. She graduated S.C.S.U. with a Masters' degree in English. Ann Marie was an avid cooking enthusiast and cookbook collector. She enjoyed quilting, painting, traveling, and spending time with family. She is survived by a son Anthony (Samantha) Marone of Westbrook, brothers John (Kathy) Nutcher, Gerard Nutcher, and Roger (Sally) Nutcher all of Hamden, a sister Jean (Robert) Corraro of Madison, grandchildren Edward (Alyssa) George Jr., Alyssa Marone, Madison Marone, Michaela Crowley, and a great grandchild Giuliana George. She was predeceased by a daughter Denise Marone George, and a brother Arthur Nutcher. Calling hours will be held TUESDAY from 9:30 - 11:30 am in the Peter H. Torello & Son FH, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
