DePonte, Anthony "Chubby" Matthew
Anthony Matthew DePonte (Chubby) of Bradenton, FL, formerly of New Haven, Connecticut entered into heaven at home on August 10, 2018. He was the son of the late Frank and Catherine DePonte. He was preceded in death by his loving grand daughter, Catherine Reed; brother, Dominic DePonte; and sister, Sandella Cipriano. He leaves behind his wife, Sandra (Champagne), daughters, Toni (Alfonso) DePonte-Lieto and Patricia (Edward) DePonte-Reed; and son, Frank (Radjana) DePonte; his loving sisters, Trofamena DePonte, Mary (Dick) Johnson, Philomena Esposito, and Catherine (Louis) Ruggiero; and brother, Ralph (Carol) DePonte; special cousins, Phyllis Abbatello and Anthony (Barbara) Carangelo; along with many precious nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. DePonte was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He loved to dance and sing with his family and enjoyed horse racing. He was adored by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Family and friends may call at St. Bernadette Church, 385 Townsend Ave, New Haven Saturday August 18th 10 a.m.
