Arthur R. Peckingham, age 73, of West Haven passed away on December 1, 2017 at CT Hospice. Loving husband of Tina Allen Peckingham. He is also survived by his children, Lisa Rasile and her husband Frank and Matthew Peckingham and his wife Nicole all of West Haven, his grandchildren, Michael, Megan and Matthew Rasile, his sisters Joan Appicelli of Southington and Deborah Peckingham of West Haven and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Linda Goldstein, Gail Yannielli, Noreen Hartmann and Robert Peckingham. A lifelong West Haven resident, Arthur served in the US Army and worked many years for both West Haven Buckle Co. and Pegasus Manufacturing. An avid hunter and trout fisherman, he was a member of the Woodbury/Southbury Rod and Gun Club. He was also master woodworker. Arthur loved to go on family vacations, whether it was camping at Lone Oak Campsites, a trip to Disney or Sunrise Resort. The family would like to thank the staff at CT Hospice for all their care and compassion, especially Judy.
The hours for visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8p.m. at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Victory Church at 11am. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
