Beryl Swire Novitch passed away on Nov. 9th in West Palm Beach, FL at the age of 86 after a nine-year battle with Alzheimer's. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Howard, and her three sons Michael, Lawrence, and Peter. She was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Esther and Max Swire. The family located to Orange, Connecticut where they lived for 45 years.
Beryl graduated from the University of New Haven and received a master's degree in forensic science. Beryl worked for the Connecticut State Police in forensics lab with Dr. Henry Lee for 2 decades.
After retirement, Beryl volunteered at the Orange Public Library and Books for the Blind. She was an active member of the Congregation Or Shalom Synagogue. Beryl's last years were spent as a resident of MorseLife Memory Care unit, West Palm Beach, FL.
Funeral Services will be held at Cong. Or Shalom, 205 Old Grassy Hill Rd., Orange on THURSDAY Nov. 16th at 12: noon with interment to follow in Beth Israel Cemetery, Orange. The Robert E.
