Carol Esposito

ESPOSITO, CAROL L. Carol L. Esposito, of East Haven, died July 27, 2013 in Connecticut Hospice. She was the devoted wife of the late Salvatore "Big Sal" Esposito. Carol was born in New Haven November 15, 1924 daughter of the late Andrew and Esther Gambardella Masto. She was a member of Society of St. Andrew Apostle for 65 years, a parishioner of St. Michael's and St. Bernadette's Church. Carol was the adoring grandmother of Gianna Esposito and cherished spending time with her. Carol also enjoyed her winter home in Florida, playing bingo, and taking trips to the casino and most importantly was devoted to her family, friends, and anyone in need. She is the beloved mother of Ronald (Linda) Esposito and Salvatore (Michelle) Esposito Jr. Sister of the late Mary Lou Consiglio, Margaret Savo, and Daniel, Onofrio, and Andrew Masto. Sister-in-law of Vida Masto, Patricia Masto Toni, Josephine Esposito, Amelia Hopf, and Rae Ann Zabka. Carol was also "a second mother" to her many nieces and nephews. Her funeral will leave from the IOVANNE FUNERAL HOME INC., 11 Wooster Place, Wednesday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael's Church at 10. Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4-8pm. Carol's family would like to thank her caregivers at Smilow Cancer Hospital, Montowese Health Care, and Connecticut Hospice for their compassion and care provided to her.
