On Thursday, May 23, 2024, Corinne DiLeonardo, 91, was called home to be with her parents and her loving sister.
She was born on March 1, 1933, to the late Carl and Madelyn (D'Antonio) DiLeonardo in New Haven, CT. Corinne spent many years in the communications industry with Southern New England Telephone Company as a first level manager. Corinne lived most of her life in the East Rock section of New Haven. In 1987, she Joined St. Mary of the Springs in Columbus, Ohio as the first associate (now known as the Dominican Sisters). Here, Corinne met her dearest friend, Sr. Caroline Castellini OP. Corinne and Sr. Caroline both moved to Green Bay and served St. Bernard Parish for many years. Corinne started the Prayer Shawl ministry at St. Bernard Parish. She delivered countless prayer shawls for those who were sick and in need. Corinne was a Eucharistic Minister as well, bringing communion to the needy. She was also heavily involved with coordinating and leading retreats with Sr. Caroline. She enjoyed photography, knitting and watching golf. Corinne especially loved to visit with people and always greeted everyone with a smile.
Corinne will be sadly missed by her dear friend, Sr. Caroline; goddaughter, Marge Petrucci, cousin, Barbara Della Selva, and many other cousins and countless friends, especially those at Bellevue Senior Living and St. Bernard Parish.
Corinne was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Madelyn DiLeonardo, and her sister, Madelyn DiLeonardo.
The Funeral Mass was on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Green Bay, WI, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Adam Bradley officiating. Corinne will be laid to rest next to her parents and sister in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com .
